When arriving at my home it looked like an impossible project to get working again. But somehow I was able to get it to print and was able to print some parts so I could start upgrading the printer. Since my printer was built of parts from several different stuff I had that lying around it got the nice name &#8220;Frankenstein&#8221;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Software\/Firmware<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the first prints, I used the Marlin firmware already installed on the Makerbase board that was a part of the original printer I bought. I did not like Marlin much so I early converted to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.klipper3d.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Klipper<\/a>. Since I did not have a Pi to run Klipper on I instead used an old Cromebox that was hacked. As a screen for Klipper, I used an old tablet running  XServer-XSDL so I was able to get Klipperscreen on it. This has been working so well that I still use my old tablet as a screen for my Frankenstein printer.
